To celebrate our 25 years, Affinity Trust has produced a calendar for 2017. It features photos of some of the people we support in their own homes, at work, or taking part in activities. Choosing the photos was difficult as we support so many fantastic individuals, but we settled on the ones featured as they represent the variety of support we provide – whether enabling someone to live independently, to take part in activities they might not have had a chance to otherwise, or to gain employment.
The calendar is available to buy from Englefield Garden Centre in person and it can also be bought through an over-the-phone transaction from the garden centre.
We were established in December 1991 under the name ‘Thames and Chilterns Trust’ (TACT). A lot has changed over the years. We expanded out of the Thames and Chilterns area to provide support to people in seven different divisions across England and Scotland. In 2008 we decided to make a huge change and renamed our organisation, hence becoming Affinity Trust. Now we support over 900 people with learning disabilities to live more independent lives and we employ over 2,000 staff to enable this independence to happen. We take great pride in our work and are excited to celebrate 25 years of enabling people with learning disabilities to pursue active and fulfilling lives.
