Score Community Opportunities
Based in the centre of Hereford, Score Community Opportunities provides a broad range of community-based activities for people with learning disabilities. Around 27 people with learning disabilities take part in one or more of these activities each week.
Score aims to promote the health and wellbeing of the people they support. They encourage activity and foster creativity.
Most activities take place in public facilities so that Score and the people it supports, is at the heart of the local community.
Score’s usual programme of activities includes football, swimming, bowling, skittles, pool, golf, archery, badminton, walking and gardening. It also runs art and drama groups, such as the Living Book Theatre Company.
Score reopened at the start of March 2021, providing mainly outdoor activities such as walking and map reading. In April, they opened a second base, the Hut, so they can run a wider range of activities in line with current legislation and guidance.
Activities on offer at the Hut include:
-
basketball
-
dance
-
racquetball
-
badminton
-
yoga.
